On Sept.22, the Rochester Fire Department received a report of a house fire on Taylor St in the southwest portion of the city. Firefighters reported a fire in a two-story vacant dwelling. As firefighters opened up the structure, it was evident that the fire was throughout the entire dwelling.

Command requested additional units to assist companies already at the scene.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no reported injuries in the blaze which heavily damaged the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Rochester Fire Department Arson Investigation Unit.
