IRVINE, Ky. --

A fire that erupted in a mobile home Tuesday killed four people, including two children, state police said.

The bodies of two adults and two children were found in the ruins of the home in Estill County in east-central Kentucky, said state police Trooper Chris Lanham.

"It doesn't appear to be anything suspicious," he said. "More than likely it's going to be some type of heat source - electrical or a space or kerosene heater."

The victims included a man and a woman, and the children were a boy and girl, he said. It was not known if the victims were related.

The fire was reported by a neighbor who saw flames and called 911 about 12:50 a.m. EST. Firefighters arrived to find the trailer engulfed in flames.
