About Scott Twp. Hose Co. #1:
Scott Twp. Hose Co.#1 Station 36 proudly protects 5500 people living in an area of 40 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

The Scott Hose Co. #1 was organized in 1945 with a fire hall built in Montdale in 1950. The Scott Hose Co. presently has a membership of 100 volunteers with 53 active firefighters, including 4 members nationally certified at Fire Fighter-I, 2 certified at Fire Fighter-II, and 1 certified Fire Instructor-I. The Scott Hose Co. provides fire protection, vehicle rescue, and emergency ambulance service. The Scott Hose Co. Ambulance has an emergency crew consisting of approximately 35 volunteers, including 2 paramedics, 19 emergency medical technicians, 7 first responders, and a number of other attendants certified in CPR and first aid. The Dive Rescue Specialists of the Scott Hose Co. was established in 1983 and has a membership of 48 certified scuba divers and surface support personnel. The Dive Rescue Specialists provide emergency underwater rescue, search and recovery, and evidence retrievel assistance to local law enforcement agencies. The Dive Rescue Specialists responded to 10 dive rescue emergencies for the year 1998. Both the Scott Hose Co. and the Dive Rescue Specialists provide educational programs including CPR, Fire Prevention, Water Safety, and Ice Safety to the community, the Lakeland School District, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and the PA State Police Camp Cadet Program.
