About Columbia Metropolitan Airport Crash Fire Rescue Dept.:
Columbia Metropolitan Airport Fire Rescue Dept. proudly protects 2000 and up people living in an area of 6 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily commercial area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status. The Columbia Metropolitan Airport Fire-Rescue Department provides Emergency Services and public assistance for passengers, tennants and employees at the Airport. We provide both Crash and Structural Firefighting and EMS first responder services. The Departmnental Personnel are all highly trained Professionals. In addition to being certified as Aircraft and Structural Firefighters and EMT's, our personnel also hold certifications in Confined Space Rescue, High Level Rescue, Hazardous Materials Technician and Specialists, Radiological Detection Officers and numerous other qualifications.
