About Union Township Fire Company:
The fire company was formed in 1958 and has 70 members, 40 of which are active. Union Township Fire Company covers 32.5 square miles and protects just under 1,000 year round residents and over 1,000 during hunting season's. Interstate 80, State Route 322 and the watershed to the Chesapeake Bay are within the township. The company performs fire duties, search & rescue and is also the decon team for the county.
