About Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department:
The department serves 16,250 households in the most densely populated area of Russell County, consisting of 28 square miles. The area which was formerly, primarily residential is currently increasing both residentially and commercially with several new businesses. A new 154 home subdivision has been established in addition to several smaller subdivisions. An estimated 500+ houses will be constructed over the next few months. Several stores and fast food restaurants have been opened over the past two years. In short, we are in a fast developing area that is not served by a municipal fire department.
