About Glendale Fire Department:
Glendale Fire Department proudly protects 15000 people living in an area of 21.7 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. It is the mission of the Glendale Fire Departmernt to protect life, property and the enviroment within the community throught efficient fire prevention and suppression methods to the level of training which has been recieved by its members and with the equipment which has been provided. We shall uphold the traditions of the fire service by never sacrificing the safety of its members and to provide them with the latest in training and firefighting techniques to the best of our ability and within our budgetary and practical allowance. Our training will continually be improved and reflect the ever-changing technological advance. We will share our successes, and listen and learn from others. We shall continually make available mutual aid service to other fire departments within Spartanburg County to the extent that the Glendale Community is not left in danger. We shall maintain the highest level of customer service that this community can be proud of while remaining fiscally responsible to the people of our community and shall strive to bring no dishoner upon the fire department or the community served by it.
