About Esko - Thomson Township:
Esko - Thomson Township proudly protects 4400 people living in an area of 36.2 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We are a rual department which tries to maintain 28 to 32 members. Most are trained to the First Responder and Firefighter 1 level with one member to the EMT level. Our members come from a variety of back grounds. We have some from law enforcement, sheetmetal worker, plumber, radio repair, trucking driving, pharmacist, equipment operaitor, office workers, computer maintance, building maintance, train engineer's, mill workers and even a state fire inspector. With all the different backgrounds we are able to handle most of the calls without mutal aid.
