About Elmo Volunteer Fire Department:
We are a rural department, serving the eastern end of Kaufman County. Most of our district is single family dwellings with few commercial buildings. There is developement of large homes and retail structures in the area. Plans are for a second station in one of the developments on the eastern edge of the district. We cover an approximately ten mile stretch of Highway 80 and I-20
