About Dutton Vol. Fire Dept:
Dutton Vol. Fire Dept proudly protects 8000 people living in an area of 26 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily a rural residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are paid on call. Dutton Fire Department was founded in 1941 with 15 men operating out of a shared mechanics garage as the fire station. Their first engine was a 1938 Ford Engine with a 500GPM Hale pump. At the present time we have 20 men serving this Department. All paid on call, responing to both fire and medical calls. We currently have 15 of our members participating in a duty roster, to run all the night Medical calls with 3 men.
