About Duck River Basin Fire & Rescue Squad:
Duck River Basin Fire & Rescue Squad proudly protects 1500 people living in an area of 120 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a private department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Duck River Basin Fire and Rescue Squad (DRBFRS) was formed in October of 2000 as a non-profit association offering Fire and Rescue Services to the people of Maury County’s Eastern Duck River Corridor. Our long term plans to improve Emergency Services in the area include the construction of new fire stations, placing new hydrants in service, the operation of a “Jaws of Life” Rescue Truck, the operation of wilderness brush trucks, the establishment of a medical First Response Program, and working closely with the Insurance Services Organization (ISO) to lower property insurance rates. We are a registered Fire Department with the Tennessee State Fire Marshall’s Office. We are a small close knit family and we are willing to work with any agency.
