DES ALLEMANDS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT proudly protects 6000 people living in an area of 28 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CONSIST OF 38 MEMBERS WORKING OUT OF TWO STATIONS. STATION #71 IS LOCATED AT 107 DEJEAN LANE. THIS STATION HOUSES TWO 1250 PUMPERS. STATION #72 IS LOCATED AT 16590 HWY 90. THIS STATION HOUSES ONE 1250 PUMPER AND ONE HEAVY RESCUE TRUCK.
