About Cayuga Volunteer Fire & Rescue:
The Cayuga Volunteer Fire and Rescue is made up of 25 volunteers. We offer fire suppression, BLS medical rescue, heavy extrication rescue, and hazmat services. Most members hold a minimum of a First Responder certification, with four EMT-Basics and four EMT- Advanced. We are members of the IVFA. We were the first department in our county to offer heavy vehicle extrication, dating back to 1978. Back then, we supplied this service for the entire county, but due to the advancement of other departments, we offer this primarily in our township, with mutual aid services when needed.
