Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 12000 people living in an area of 60 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. The Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Department is a worthy successor of The Breaux Bridge Blue Bucket Fire Company No.1 organized in February 1876. On July 28, 1936 that organization was dissolved and renamed the Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Department.
