About Bowling Green Volunteer Fire Department:
Bowling Green Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 10000-12000 people living in an area of 100 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Bowling Green Volunteer Fire Department is an all voulnteer fire department consisting of 30 members. We have 1 Chief, 2 Assistant Chief,4 Captains, and 2 Lieutenants. Our station is located in the middle of Caroline County in the Town of Bowling Green. Our station houses the only Heavy-Duty Rescue in the county. This unit is equipped with a full line of Hurst Extrication Equipment. We also have a set of low and high pressure air bags. On this unit we also have a air compressor and haz mat supplies. This unit runs all working fires, mass cassulty incidents, and most haz mat calls in the county. We also run a Engine, Tanker and Brush Truck out of our station.
