Acadia/Evangeline Fire Protection District proudly protects 4265 people living in an area of 85 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. Our Department is a Volunteer Department with a full-time paid Fire Chief. Our District surrounds the town of Basile, so we respond to municipal as well as rural calls.
