About Antioch Volunteer Fire Department:
We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Antioch Volunteer Fire Department serves the northeast corner of Covington County, Alabama with three Class A pumpers, a 1600 gallon commercial built tanker and a 3/4 4WD brush truck. All trucks have mutichannel radios and 8 personnel have portables. The remaining personnel have pagers. We have three trucks that have department paging capabilities. The area we serve is mainly farmland and forest products with a growing residential population. Ten of 12 members have completed the 160 Certified Volunteer Firefighters Course and one is a Paramedic.
