GREENE COUNTY, Ohio --

A firefighter in Greene County had to be pulled out of a burning building after collapsing while fighting the fire.

Fire crews were called to the 1300 block of Shawnee Drive just after 5 a.m. Monday.

While dousing the flames, a 21-year-old firefighter from Miami Township collapsed. Authorities said the firefighter was revived after receiving CPR at the scene.

Medics took the firefighter to Greene Memorial Hospital, where he is in fair condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
