OMAHA, Neb. --

Firefighters noticed some distinctive pipes sticking out of a wall while dousing a fire Monday afternoon.

They uncovered an abandoned marijuana growing operation at the house near 32nd and Poppleton streets, said police.

A clandestine lab came and checked out the material. It's unclear whether anyone was living there at the time.
