Flames were engulfing one shed and exposures were beginning to burn, when a call was placed to 911.

Multiple tones pierced the bays of Chesterfield stations summoning crews to a working structure fire at 10400 block of Seacliff Lane on Aug 19 at 1612 hours. The initial call said shed on fire.

Responding were Engine 10, Engine 24, Engine 4, Truck 9, Medic 24, TSO and Battalion 3. Engine 2 did a move up fill in for Engine 24's quarters.Chesterfield County Police responded.

Callers to 911 reported hearing an explosion. Contact with emergency communications was lost, then dispatch could not reconnect with callers.

First on scene reported heavy fire, heavy smoke, exposures involved.

Five-inch supply was laid with multiple attack lines stretched.

Crews made a hard hit on the fire that now had trees burning and an additional shed quickly becoming consumed.

Hazards were hardware, yard tools, and general home items that were stored in the sheds. Vehicles lined the driveway and homes were on all sides. A chain link fence blocked access to the rear of the shed.

In spite of the advanced stage of the fire upon arrival crews made an aggressive, fast knockdown.

Two sheds were a total loss, firefighters were able to protect the homes.

No injuries were reported.

The fire has been deemed as suspicious and is under investigation.
