A group of 19 first responders in Naples, Fla. want the relatives of the nine Charleston firefighters killed in the June 18 blaze to know they have not forgotten their suffering.

"We wanted to honor the memories of the firefighters, and provide emotional and financial support to the families they left behind," says Jeff Morse, the man behind the Brotherhood Ride, departing this Saturday.

The riders, made up of firefighters, EMTs and police officers will ride for nine days -- one day for each of the men killed in the deadly Sofa Super Store blaze. They will end up in Walterboro, S.C. where they will present a check to the fallen firefighter's family members.

Ride founder Jeff Morse, who has been a firefighter for 20 years, says that they have already raised over $10,000 - but they hope to raise more along the way.

"We hope the families get comfort from our trip, finding out what we've done, and get some financial help, too. We have not forgotten their sacrifices."
