Two Pennsylvania Firefighters Injured in Blaze

MOUNT LEBANON, Pa. --

A couple of firefighters are hurt by the heat as they battle a house fire in Mount Lebanon.

The fire started around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at a home along Sleepy Hollow Road.

The flames began in the kitchen, although an exact cause has not yet been determined.

"The fire had advanced pretty well through the house," said Platoon Chief Tim Brown of the Mount Lebanon Fire Department. "So we had to break windows just to ventilate so we could see where we were going and release the heat from the house."

Two firefighters were taken to St. Clair Hospital for heat exhaustion.

There are no other reported injuries.
