Cygnus Business Media's Public Safety Group includes many online, print and live event properties serving
the fire, rescue and EMS market -- and law enforcement.
Many of these properties have staff members directly involved in the industries impacted by the Hurricane Katrina tragedy, including firefighters, EMTs, first responders and retired law enforcement.
We hope that through this effort, in partnership and cooperation with many of the nation's leading fire, rescue and EMS organizations and businesses, we can make a difference in the lives of first responders and departments impacted by Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.
We would like to applaud the dozens of fire responders who were attending the EMS Expo / NAEMT trade show and conference in New Orleans and stayed behind as Hurricane Katrina hit the city. In the aftermath, they did what responders do -- step up an help others in need. Many of their stories are coming out now, and they are truly inspirational.
